Product description

Our type 58 electromagnetic holding magnets offer a reliable solution for industrial applications where significant holding force and low power consumption is required.

Available in standard sizes from Ø15 to Ø180mm in diameter, with a force of 90 to 15,000N and special designs in the range up to 280mm and 40,000N on request.

Electromagnetic holding magnets consist of a steel magnet housing and a DC-excited internal coil which when power is applied will securely hold ferromagnetic parts. As they are ‘energised-to-hold’, electromagnets become magnetised when electric current is applied, immediately releasing hold when the electric current is removed and the coil is de-energised.
